Indian Railways is set to create history with its plan of constructing the world’s largest railway platform at Hubli. This project involves the construction of a 1,445 metre-long platform, accompanied by a skywalk of 920 metres in length. It is an astounding feat that takes planning, co-ordination and hard work. Through the use of cutting-edge technology, the construction is expected to be finished in record time, thus creating a new landmark for Indian Railways. It is set to provide passengers, who arrive here from across the country, with world-class facilities, ensuring them utmost comfort and convenience.
Finest Facilities
The newly built railway platform is going to be equipped with state-of-the-art lighting, advanced security measures, lush green gardens and a strong air-conditioning system. Furthermore, there are going to be solar panels installed for power supply, for which a memmorandum of understanding (MOU) was already signed with Hubli-Dharwad Solar Power Developement Private Limited. The platform will also provide helpline and kiosks, to assist passengers with any problems they might have. Special escalators will also be set up to involve passengers to commute safely and easily. Additionally, many dedicated areas will be allocated for commuters with special needs. All of these features will be designed keeping in mind the modern needs of rail passengers.
Coca-Cola recently implemented an innovative marketing move at bus stops in Singapore. As part of their ‘Tastes the Feeling’ campaign, the multi-national beverage company installed two giant LED screens at the Pasir Ris and Bedok bus stops. Instead of just going through ads or waiting for their bus, passengers were able to create GIFs with Coca-Cola’s iconic font, images and their own personalised messages. Apart from connecting with commuters, Coca-Cola’s ‘Tastes The Feeling’ campaign was also designed in such a way as to encourage them to take a break and enjoy the moment. This modern campaign gained praise throughout Singapore, and further widened Coca-Cola’s recognition among people.
